Yasmin Jones

Volunteer

Violence, Peacebuilding, and Epistemology

Yasmin Jones is a Volunteer at CSC specializing in violence, peace and epistemology, with a background in law and philosophy. 


Her research interests are on the ways in which violence goes beyond conflict and why this is important for peace work. Yasmin is interested in the ethical dilemmas surrounding peacebuilding efforts, with particular interest in definitions of violence and how aspects of violence are often unconsciously reproduced by peacebuilding actors. 


Yasmin holds an MSc in Comparative Political Thought from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London), as well as a BA in Philosophy and Politics, and a Certificate of Higher Education in Law from Durham University.
