Qualitative research

A research approach requiring the generation and interpretation of non-numerical data for the purposes of understanding social realities including but not limited to beliefs, experiences, attitudes, behaviours and interactions. Data generation methods can include interviews, substantive questionnaires, participant observation, focus group discussions, among many others, and can add depth and complexity to research findings. CSC representatives will work with relevant parties and carefully analyze knowledge production trends in the context under analysis before proposing and implementing a research design.
