Quantitative research

A research approach requiring the collection and analysis of numerical data for the purposes of generalizing trends within and across groups of people or explaining particular phenomena. Data generation methods can include surveys, polls and the manipulation of pre-existing statistical data. The interpretation of numerical data can facilitate the testing of theories on a given issue. CSC representatives will work with relevant parties to qualitatively determine appropriate variables for quantitative analysis.
