Luisa Calvete

Dr. Luísa Calvete is a Lecturer of International Relations at Cardiff University as well as a member of the World Values Survey Brazil research group. 

Her work focuses on racial, and socio-economic disenfranchisement and makes extensive use of in-depth interviews. Luisa has research experience in Brazil, and in South Africa; her current research project builds on this regional expertise and extends it to the United Kingdom looking at casualization, migration, and urbanization. 

Besides her academic work, Luisa has previously worked with the Sophia Akash Foundation (UK) which assists local social enterprises in Asia and Africa.
